Metal gaskets

All-metal sealing solutions for assemblies where pressure, temperature, mechanical loads or geometry require a construction without a principal soft filler.

Machined and cut metal gaskets
01

When should a metal gasket be used?

Metal gaskets are used where operating conditions require high mechanical strength, excellent dimensional stability or a metal-to-metal seal.

European Sealing Technology supplies:

  • RTJ — Ring Type Joint;
  • solid metal gaskets;
  • special metal gaskets: Lens Rings, Weld Rings, transition rings and other custom constructions to drawing.

Selection depends heavily on flange design and must never be based on diameter or pressure alone.

RTJ — Ring Type Joint

High-precision machined rings for specific grooves. They provide metal-to-metal sealing and are widely used in petrochemical, oil and gas, and high-pressure applications.

03

Solid metal gaskets

Parts cut from metal sheet, available in many grades and shapes. Depending on the customer drawing, they can be used as gaskets, technical shims or components.

Special metal gaskets

Lens Rings, Weld Rings, transition rings, metal O-Rings and other special geometries suit specific flanges or equipment.

Materials

The current range includes a broad selection of materials:

  • soft iron / low-carbon steel;
  • stainless steel 304, 316, 321, 347 and 410;
  • copper;
  • Monel;
  • alloys 600 / 625 / 800 / 825;
  • Hastelloy / C276;
  • titanium;
  • Duplex / Super Duplex;
  • SMO 254;
  • other alloys on request.

Traceability

For parts in special alloys or intended for regulated services, material certificates and appropriate traceability can be supplied on request, depending on the grade and order requirements.
