Solutions defined by equipment design
Unlike cut flange gaskets, special metal gaskets are often inseparable from the geometry of the flange or equipment.
Correct specification must therefore be based on the applicable standard, the manufacturer’s drawing or the existing gasket.
Lens Rings
Lens Rings use a lenticular geometry that provides controlled metal-to-metal contact with matching seating surfaces. They are used in selected high-pressure and high-temperature installations.
Weld Rings
Weld Rings are metal constructions designed to be welded into an assembly engineered for this sealing principle. They may be used where very high integrity is required at a specific joint.
Geometry, material grade and welding procedure must be defined by the equipment design.
Transition Rings
Transition rings accommodate specific connections or geometries, particularly where the components being joined differ in material or design.
The term can cover several constructions, so the exact drawing or specification must always be provided.
Metal O-Rings
The range also includes pressurised and non-pressurised metal O-Rings for applications requiring a resilient metal construction.
Manufacture to drawing
For these products, always provide:
- drawing / standard;
- dimensions;
- material;
- surface finish, if specified;
- fluid;
- pressure and temperature;
- quantity;
- required certificates.
