Rubber gaskets

European Sealing Technology converts rubber rolls and sheets into standard or custom gaskets.

Principal elastomers supplied include:

• NBR / nitrile;
• EPDM;
• CR / neoprene;
• FKM;
• MVQ / silicone;
• CSM / Hypalon®;
• PU / polyurethane;
• NR / natural rubber;
• SBR;
• other grades to suit the requirement.

Certain materials can be reinforced with a textile fabric to improve mechanical strength.

NBR / nitrile

Commonly selected where resistance to oils and fuels is important. The exact formulation and temperature limits must be checked for the grade used.

EPDM

Often selected for water, ozone and outdoor applications. It is generally unsuitable for mineral oils.

CR / neoprene

A versatile elastomer used in many industrial applications, particularly where weather resistance and balanced mechanical properties are required.

FKM

A family of fluoroelastomers for more severe chemical or thermal environments, selected according to the medium and formulation.

Silicone / MVQ

Valued for its broad temperature range and available in various colours and grades, including grades for selected food-contact or clean applications.

CSM / Hypalon®

Used where resistance to ozone, weathering or certain chemical environments is required.

PU / polyurethane

Suitable where mechanical strength, wear or abrasion resistance is critical.

NR and SBR

Grades for varied mechanical and industrial uses, selected according to the required resistance and environment.

We also cut gaskets from cellular materials, including:

• cellular EPDM;
• cellular CR / neoprene;
• cellular silicone.

These materials are particularly suitable where deformation under low load, insulation or gap compensation is required.

Depending on the application, we can supply:

• food-contact grades meeting documented requirements;
• textile-reinforced rubbers;
• white grades;
• abrasion-resistant materials;
• strips or gaskets with double-sided adhesive film to facilitate installation.

Food-contact and regulatory compliance always depends on the exact grade and its supporting documentation.

Parts can be cut:

• to drawing;
• to specified dimensions;
• from an existing gasket or sample;
• as a one-off;
• in production quantities.
