Extruded profiles

European Sealing Technology supplies extruded profiles in many elastomers through specialist European manufacturers.

Profiles can be:

• standard;
• manufactured to drawing;
• reproduced from a sample where the geometry can be identified;
• solid;
• cellular / sponge.

The current range includes:

• NBR / nitrile;
• NR / natural rubber;
• EPDM;
• MVQ / silicone;
• FKM / FPM;
• CSM / Hypalon®;
• other compounds to suit the application.

Geometry can include:

• cords;
• tubes;
• U-profiles;
• P-profiles;
• D-profiles;
• lip profiles;
• complex sections to drawing.

Solid

For applications requiring solid material, greater mechanical strength and controlled deformation.

Cellular

For high compressibility under low load, gap compensation, insulation or soft closure.

Profiles can be processed after extrusion to form:

• frames;
• rings;
• closed shapes;
• corners and specific assemblies.

European Sealing Technology offers hot-vulcanised, mechanically joined or bonded constructions, depending on material and geometry.

Inflatable profiles, with or without a valve, can also be produced for applications where the seal must be pressurised to establish contact.

Depending on the compound, certain grades may be available with specific compliance or classifications:

• food-contact: FDA, EC 1935/2004;
• rail: EN 45545-2 and other classifications depending on the compound;
• potable water: WRAS;
• other requirements depending on the manufacturer.
